美国伊利诺斯大学医学系招聘博士后 The Section of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition in the Department of Medicine and the Cancer Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a highly qualified individual for a postdoctoral position to work with Dr. Xavier Llor in the area of colorectal cancer research. The candidate should be familiar with molecular biology techniques. The project involves the study of hereditary colorectal cancer forms that have not been well characterized yet. The candidate should be a hard-working, highly motivated person and eager to plan independently. The position is available immediately and will be renewed annually based on research progress. Qualifications: Prefer applicants with a Ph.D. degree and/or individuals with a MS degree interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. The applicant should be a highly organized person familiar with all types of DNA and RNA work, including nucleic acid extraction and sequencing, as well as good understanding of colorectal cancer genetics. The applicant should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to work independently and collaboratively with graduate students and other postdoctoral fellows, plan and perform experiments, analyze data, communicate results in scientific publications, and enjoy learning new techniques. Previous experience in supervising students, guiding research projects, contributing to grant applications, and preparing effective graphics is preferred but not required.
