Postdoctoral Research opportunity is available in Dr. Edward Abraham laboratory in Department of Medicine at UAB. The NIH funded projects are related to the role of reactive oxygen species in inflammation, particularly neutrophil activation and acute lung injury. The candidate (PhD or MD), should be familiar with cell culture procedures, mouse handling, standard molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. Experience in redox signaling, oxidant dependent regulation of the NF-kB signaling cascade would be an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment as well as a team member is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
