We would like to appoint a highly self-motivated Research Technician funded by the British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence and based in the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre Microarray Centre at the Hammersmith Campus (London W12). You will take part in genomics research involving next generation sequencing (Solexa and Roche 454 platforms) and microarray (Affymetrix and Agilent) technologies.
You will have a first degree in Biological Sciences and proven laboratory experience using molecular biology techniques, in particular working with RNA and DNA. Previous experience with microarray and/or sequencing would be an advantage although training will be provided. You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and technical skills
The post is full-time until 31 March 2014
